Our recently founded Golf Society founded in January this year had a very successful trip to Kerry, Southern Ireland, where we stayed at the famous Towers Hotel in Glenbeigh which I used to run in the early 80s. The Society played at Dukes at Glenbeigh Link golf course and also Beaufort and Killorglin golf courses.  The weather was beautiful and some of us came back sunburnt (yes I said sunburnt in Kerry in April).  Even though I was considered a rank outsider I still managed to impress with my nearest the pin trophy won at Killorglin golf course "and thats enough about that".  

We were fortunate enough to meet John Major ex Conservative Prime Minister at Cork Airport who was happy to have his photogrph taken with myself and the boys.  He spent time with us signing autographs and wished us a successful weekend.
