Welcome to The Brook House Pub

Gary Gilchrist first opened the doors to the Brook House on 3rd June 1986 where previously the pub had been known as Kings. The pub had been closed down for about a year previous to Gary taking over. Little did Gary know then that he had taken over possibly the most troublesome pub in Hayes if not Middlesex?

The Brook House PubNineteen years on he has completely transformed The Brook House into an award winning pub on many fronts. The Brook House specialised subject is entertainment on a wide front, we have everything from Quiz nights, Pool nights, darts including a ladies team, Karaoke competitions, Disco nights and the very best in live music. The Brook House is without doubt a premiership pub and all sports are catered for on our two large screens and multiplex TV system.

A lot has happened to Gary in nineteen years, he was married in 1987 and had three boys, Brendan, Kevin and Connor, sadly Gary was divorced in 1995. The boys live quite close to Gary and all the boys help out at the weekends at The Brook House. Gary's mother passed away peacefully in The Brook House in 2000 after being only reunited with her eight years previously.

Gary prides himself on being very involved in the local community and over the years has raised thousands of pounds for various charities and individuals. Our most recent one this year was a sponsored five mile charity walk in April for Daniel Hall a ten year old boy suffering form Rhabdomyosarcoma. We have raised the staggering amount of £17,500 to send him to Florida (follow Daniels progress on our Local News page).

The Brook House is a large three bar house, with large beer garden and car park. Featuring a live music lounge, pool table, dartboard, lounge bar and function rooms. We cater for Christenings, 21st Birthdays, Funerals or any other special events you may have.

The Brook House is easily recognisable by its award winning floral display which dominates the corner of Kingshill Avenue and Lansbury Drive. The Brook House has previously won The Best Blooming Pub in London and is well worth a visit as this year promises to be even better than previous years.

Gary is very quick to recognise that the staff play an important role in the running of The Brook House and in particular Sean Leddy bar manager who has been with Gary throughout his nineteen years, who also comes from County Caven in Southern Ireland. Gary and Sean both started their careers in the licensing trade at the same pub Derrygarra Inn in Ireland at different times for the owner John Clancy. Sean's loyalty to The Brook House is unquestionable as Gary is quick to realise and is extremely fortunate to have him on board.

Brook, the two and half year old German Shepherd, is looking for love. Brook enjoys all the many activities at The Brook House and is constantly seen mingling with the regulars. Brook is looking for the right partner in life, to arrange an interview please contact Brook on this website.
