Welcome to The Brook House Pub

A very warm welcome to The Brookhouse Pub, a few of you have got in contact with me and had a quiet word in my ear and suggested I update the introductory page of The Brookhouse. You know who you are and true to my word I am updating it (well Sarah really). Doesn’t time fly this year we will be 24 years at The Brookhouse, can you believe it.

The Brook House Pub
Jim Nash receiving a bottle of Jamesons from Gary to celebrate his 80th birthday. WHO IS THAT MAN ON THE LEFT? ANSWERS ON A POSTCARD

Myself and Sean Leddy were discussing one evening that sixty percent of our customers now weren’t even born when we came to Hayes back in 1986 which sometimes makes us feel very old but I can assure you we are both very young at heart. Over the years we have been fortunate enough to become friends with some lovely families who live in the area and who frequent the pub on a regular basis in some cases three generations if not four.

The Brookhouse I would like to think has always been at the heart of the community apart from our entertainment which we provide five nights a week, anything from the top local bands to Tribute Bands, Karaoke, Disco’s and Charity novelty nights. Not to forget our two football teams, four darts teams including a ladies team, Golf Society, Malcolm’s Saturday quiz which is proving to be very popular, I have thought about paying him but I know Malcolm would be insulted by this so instead I give him a lift home occasionally and our Pool team and if that isn’t enough for all the green fingered people in the area we have our green fingered nights when locals can come in and get tips off me about how to improve your own garden and get the maximum from your own display. I have found myself that talking to the plants really does work and I contribute this to my award winning success with my floral display. To some people I am the Alan Titchmarsh of Hayes which I take as a compliment.

Not so long ago I was delighted to receive the honour of The Best Fundraising Pub in the whole of the UK and when you consider the number of pubs throughout the UK it was truly a very prestigious award. I am always very quick to acknowledge that if it wasn’t for the generosity and kind heartedness of my customers this could not have been achieved.

Over the years both Sean and I have been called many names everything from the good the bad and the ugly and in this stage of our career it is water off a ducks back I can assure you but I have a name for Sean. I call him the ‘Memory Man’ because if you have been naughty in The Brookhouse no matter how many years have passed I may forget but Sean will never. Sean puts this gift he has down to Carlsberg!!!!

Del and Melrose Jones family reunion at The Brookhouse

This year is our 6th World Cup at The Brookhouse and will go into overdrive to make sure that this one will be bigger than ever and unlike other years I genuinely feel that this year England could go all the way, remember you heard it here first. If you have never been to The Brookhouse before it is well worth a visit I can assure you and if you bring in a copy of this page from our website you will get a VIP access all areas and as much drink as you can drink on that night, provided you are with both parents and appropriate ID.

Feel free to mention the website to me and if you can think of any ways in which I can improve it please let me know.

Your charismatic, charming, good looking, generous and always right Gov!!!!
